As a Software Engineer on the Uber Eats Groceries & Retail team, I engineered and scaled core payment systems for delivery partners that processed over 2 million transactions daily. I led the development of critical features for payment processing and fraud avoidance, directly contributing to preventing millions of dollars in losses worldwide.

• Designed and led multiple solutions to improve the accuracy and consistency of courier payment. Among them, I revamped our core estimation flow, getting a 5% accuracy improvement in the checkout total estimation.
• Performed technical and behavioural interviews for prospective candidates for technical roles.
• Lead teams of up to 5 engineers on business-critical projects. For example, I led a massive and critical project to improve the stability of payment systems to create a 4-nines and future-proof platform.

Collaborated as an engineer for a Fortune 500 company in the healthcare industry. Developed systems for insurance processing that ensured strict regulatory compliance and met strong reliability requirements. I worked at the core processing team for Medicare & Medicaid, where I built systems that processed patient claims with special in-house systems for traceability and auditing.

• Developed 5+ microservices that powered critical business systems, including: Patient validation, insurance processing, auditing and internal tooling.
• Company-wide Chapter Lead for Go. As part of this role, I was tasked with setting the standards for code in the company and serving as an architectural consultant.
• Conducted technical interviews for Software Engineering and Go positions. Performed the onboarding of new engineers for integration into company projects.
• Winner of the 2023 company hackathon. The submission was a tool that used AI to provide feedback on code smells and bugs.

During my tenure at this software factory, I built solutions for multiple commercial and in-house projects. Independence and problem-solving were highly valued, as we worked in small self-sufficient task forces. This required me to get hands-on with all parts of development, from requirements to infrastructure.

• Developed custom software for a private cloud provider, managing instance creation and control through a custom Kubernetes control plane with hooks for intelligent resource allocation.
• Created a solution for payment records and an inventory management system used by a local food chain. This software required complete vertical integration with other existing platforms to manage catalogues and incoming payments.
